Robert M. Schwartz

Bob has been representing employees in employment related matters since 1978, many of which have been precedent-setting and have advanced employee interests. As part of his practice, he regularly appears before state trial and appellate courts, the Public Employment Relations Commission, the Office of Administrative Law and the Commissioner of Education.  He also has successfully defended many school administrators in TEACHNJ tenure arbitration proceedings. Bob also is the author of numerous articles affecting school personnel on a range of issues including tenure, and seniority, free expression in schools, reporting requirements on issues of abuse, pension issues, bullying, harassment and issues pertaining to student discipline. For three decades Bob has served as the Chief Counsel to the New Jersey Principal and Supervisors Association (NJPSA), the largest association for public school administrators in the State of New Jersey. During this time Bob has also served as the Public Defender in the towns of Plainsboro, Cranbury and East Windsor. Outside of the law, Bob is very active in local politics, enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife of over 45 years, and with his four grandchildren.
